Our Place in Space

Date: Friday 24th February – Sunday 26th March

Embark on a cosmic adventure with ‘Our Place in Space’ which combines a 3D sculpture trail and interactive AR app. On this out-of-this world journey, you'll explore a remarkable scale model of the solar system along the stunning North Down coastal path.

Starting at the Ulster Transport Museum, follow the 10km walking trail onto a newly installed pathway opening onto the North Down Coastal Path and stretching through Crawfordsburn Country Park, finishing at Bangor Pier.

Don't miss your chance to marvel over our miniature universe designed by artist and children’s author, Oliver Jeffers, with support from leading astrophysicist, Professor Stephen Smartt.

Live events at The Court House

Bangor’s newest entertainment venue, the Court House, is hosting an eclectic mix of entertainment events this Spring. From live music and comedy shows to fascinating film screenings at their Tonic Classic Film Club, the Court House has something for everyone!

Why not start your weekend off right with a traditional Irish trad session, or rock out with some of AC?DC's live performance of classic hits from the Bon Scott era? The possibilities are endless!

Arts night at the museum

Date: Friday 31st March, 6-9pm

An exciting event for families, North Down Museum invites you to its Arts Night At The Museum! This art event gives everyone the chance to explore their creative side.

You can expect everything from clay work to printmaking to sketching and painting - or just sit back and listen to some live music. Every nook and cranny of this historic museum building will be filled with arts activity to experience, participate in or observe.

This is a free event and open to all.

Ards International Guitar Festival

Date: Friday 7th April – Monday 10th April

This Spring, guitar enthusiasts will be in for an exciting treat as the much-loved Ards International Guitar Festival takes over Newtownards. Bringing together some of Ireland and UK's topmost guitarist talents, you can look forward to a vibrant mix of gigs, guitar clinics, a film screening, and a stunning photography exhibition by Stuart Bailie.

Little ones and their families can join in on the fun later in the month (Saturday 22nd April) with ‘Little Folk: On the Road with Kyle Riley’. This family event is perfect for 2–7-year-olds to rock and become part of the show.
